Spring River Clean-Up (April 28th)
April 28 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pmFree
Ready for spring? We are! This is a great time of year to take a look at the river banks, trails, and parking lots and clean them up!
Join us for a Spring River Clean-Up sponsored by Fredericksburg, Virginia Main Street, and River Rock Outfitter!
Our clean-up responsibility is from the 900 block of Sophia Street to Riverfront Park. This is the area that is on display for Downtown guests, residents, and business owners. We want to make sure that this section is pristine and welcoming! The banks along this section are steep and muddy. Make sure to wear clothes and shoes that can get dirty. Anyone not comfortable going down the bank can clean-up along the edges of the parking lot and the park. We will provide all the trash bags, gloves, etc.
We want to best plan for your support. If you plan on attending please process a ticket to reserve your spot, don’t worry they’re free! We will send out a reminder e-mail with further instructions and waivers to those on the reservation list. (All participants under 18 must have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian.)
Glove and bag distribution will begin at 9AM at River Rock Outfitter. Cleanup activities will wrap up around 12:00PM. Bring a reusable water bottle so that we keep our waste to a minimum.
Looking forward to working with you on behalf of the Rappahannock.
