Adventure Dogs 101
March 13 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm$5.00
We are excited to introduce new programming to our hiking group – our “Adventure Dog Series”. Would you like to learn the basics of hiking and adventuring with your dog before heading out on the trail? Or perhaps you just need a little refresher. Learn about trail etiquette, obedience skills, and how to get your dog adventure ready. We’ll talk specifically about gear, nutrition, first aid, and all things specific to adventuring with dogs.
This is a humans only seminar. Please don’t bring your pup this time around – we’ll be scheduling dog friendly outings separately! Demo gear will be on hand to check out and modeled by seasoned adventure dog, Riley. You’re welcome to bring your own gear if you have any questions about it, time permitting.
This class is geared towards dog loving enthusiasts, hiking beginners and complete newbies. No prerequisites or requirements needed.
Call River Rock Outfitter at (540)[masked] to reserve your spot!
Of course we only invite the best to provide our clinics and outdoor adventures. Many of you may already know Maria Schultz from her SUP with your PUP courses or published books, Paddle Tails, How to SUP with your PUP, and My Dog and Me. She is taking her lessons learned and years of experience working with dogs on the water and extending those lessons to the trail. Maria and her canine companions – Riley and Bodie – are a power house trio you do not want to miss.
