Hiking with your dog, a simple straightforward activity for people and dogs to enjoy together. A couple of backpacks, water, some snacks and you’re off! Injuries and first aid kits are probably the last thing on your mind, but a well-prepared dog owner can confidently avert injuries, or prevent minor accidents from turning into major medical situations.
While we can’t predict every medical emergency, and because dogs will be dogs and inevitably find trouble – as pet parents we should dedicate some time to learning the basics! Join Maria Schultz, Ruffwear Ambassador, Outdoor Adventurer, and Canine Trainer for a class on Canine First-Aid when hiking with your dog.
We’ll address what to bring with you on hike, and what not to bring! How to identify injuries, basic first-aid, and tips for keeping your dog safe on healthy on the trails.
Refund Policy Note: We are excited to get you outside and enjoying our courses and events. Each activity is tailored made for your specific needs and goals for the sport. Please be considerate of their schedule and make sure you arrive for your activity on time and prepared. Payments are non-refundable. If the activity is cancelled due to weather, then we will do all we can to schedule a rain date. Your guide will work with you to reschedule your activity or, if available, provide a reasonable alternative. If you must cancel for any reason, then notify your guide immediately. We will work with you to reschedule if a cancellation is made at least 48 hours in advance of your scheduled activity.
